LIFTING PLANS
Vaulters- If you are not in excel (IF you are a jr. or sr. you SHOULD BE!) or would like a more specific plan for EXCEL, these are some of the exercises you should be incorporating in your lifting routines outside of season!

Core Strength
- Standard crunch
- Knee up crunches (Backwards crunches)
- Hip lifts (lying on ground, lift from the hips legs headed toward the sky)
- Oblique side lying crunches both sides
- Side plank dips
- Oblique leg extensions
- Superman alternators (Part of back series)
- Plank leg lifts
- Push-ups
- Heel touches
- Bicycle Crunches
- Half up twists
- Core strength while hanging from a bar (Cheater bubkas or bubkas, v-ups (Bring legs all the way up, all the way down, don’t swing!!), wipers,
GYMNASTICS [Participating on the school's gymnastics team is an excellent way to gain strength during the off season! Many of my best pole vaulters are also gymnasts so you will be in good company]
- Handstand/Handstand walking
- Back extension rolls, regular and over bungee) Added+ back extension roll with pirouette
